The "Farm Preservation in Estate Planning" Whole Farm Workshop is being offered from 1-4 p.m. on Sept. 27, sponsored by Michael Fields Agricultural Institute.
This unique workshop provides and overview of agricultural trends that can compel farm owners and families to explore estate planning options and preservation tools to help secure their farms for future farming opportunities.
Learn about issues to consider as you begin to develop, communicate and implement a succession plan for your farm, and what preservation options, such as permanent conservation easements, are available to help make the best decision for the farm's future.
Learn from three experts at this event. Angie Curtes - land preservation consultant, Joy Kirkpatrick- outreach specialist, UW Center for Dairy Profitability and Jim Welsh- executive director, Natural Heritage Land Trust will each present and offer feedback for workshop participants.
